Welcome to the Fitness Tailor Made website! I'm Bobbie Novak, a certified personal trainer since 1992, and I hold a B.S. degree in Human Nutrition with honors (RD Equivalent) from ASU. My journey into fitness and nutrition began early, starting with my childhood passion for ballet and a penchant for healthy choices.
If you've struggled with weight loss, strength gain, muscle tone, revving up your metabolism, or battling body image and pain issues, I invite you to read on. My lifelong mission is to guide people towards holistic health, a lesson I learned through personal experiences. I realized that it's not just about eating right or working out; it's the synergy between exercise and nutrition that truly leads to lasting results. As a child, I was incredibly active and academically inclined. Hip and back pain plagued me from a young age, but staying active eased the discomfort. Inspired by Rocky, I began running at 12 and weightlifting at 13 after being told I was too big for ballet. This triggered a turbulent relationship with food, leading to secret binge-purge cycles and a distorted self-image. I believed my worth hinged on others' opinions of my appearance and grades. Turning vegetarian at 13, I unwittingly worsened my eating habits, gaining unwanted weight.
My life took a significant turn in my second year of college when I ventured into a Nutrition 101 class. The power of education overcame my struggles with body image and food, liberating me from their grip. I delved deep into advanced exercise science, chemistry, and nutrition, eventually earning my B.S. degree. I knew then that I wanted to combine fitness and nutrition and share this knowledge with others. I became the Wellness Coordinator at Home Depot while attending college and took a year-long unpaid internship to become a personal trainer, passing the very first ACE test in Arizona. Today, I'm proud to be among the select group of fitness professionals who continue to make a difference.

I don't rely on generic workout templates or dictate your meals. I teach you how to eat and why, providing tools for tracking your nutrition and hand-picking exercises tailored to your unique needs. Your program is created based on your health history, goals, posture, body fat, and other measurements, not a one-size-fits-all template. We discuss nutrition in an empowering way, helping you understand its role in your overall health.
The FDA and the USDA have left many confused about nutrition. I aim to simplify the process, teaching you what's best for your goals, as there's no one-size-fits-all approach. Everything I offer is custom-tailored to you.
